The raffle is held in the fall at the beginning of the school year. Typically the raffle lasts eight weeks. Tickets cost $5 each. They can be purchased online or from an Académie Lafayette student. A drawing to determine the winner is held at a fall school event. The winner is announced on social media and the school website.
This year’s dates are August 30th to October 23rd. The drawing will happen at Boo Bayou on October 26th.
In 2016, AL 8th grader Isabella Dougherty was awarded the Fox 4 Reaching 4 Excellence Award for selling raffle tickets.
