Cheer team is open to 6th–8th graders and is a year-round program. Practice is usually once or twice a week, days will be decided and announced to the team. Current 5th, 6th, and 7th-grade students are invited to try out for the 2018-19 season! No previous experience necessary.
To join the team, students must participate in at least one pre‑tryout session and one required tryout session. See the calendar below for dates and times. All sessions will be held at the Oak Street gym. Get more information and learn the cheers for the try-outs at the pre-tryout/info sessions. Meet the current AL cheerleaders and ask questions about the program. Parents are welcome to attend as well.
Parents, interested in getting involved?
Contact Jessica above! We would love help teaching new cheers, cheer skills, basic stunts, routines, team-building activities, confidence-building exercises, etc. Time commitment is very flexible. Contributing to even one practice or workshop can go a long way in building a great team!
