Why Giving Matters

Time and money

As a charter school, Académie Lafayette depends on the support of financial donors, as well as the efforts of volunteers who contribute their valuable time and talents. However you would like to be engaged in your child’s education and the school community, we gratefully welcome your participation.

Donate

Académie Lafayette, like all public schools, receives funding from state and local tax revenue. These funds, however, are not enough to support the extra enrichment and student services we provide to every student. Recent state budget cuts have made ensuring a high quality education for every student even harder. You gift will help us continue to provide a rich academic environment as well as a safety net of services for our 900+ diverse students.

You can help by making a tax-deductible gift to:

The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund supports a wide variety of services including free transportation for students, school nurses (RNs) and social workers (LCSW), visas for international teaching staff, and extra support for art and music, sports, technology, and libraries. Make a safe, secure online gift to the Annual Fund here.

Fund-A-Need
The yearly Fund-A-Need campaign provides funding for unmet needs within the school. In 2017, the Fund-A-Need project is Science: Bring our Classrooms into the 21st Century. Learn more here.

Seasonal Fundraising
$10,000 Cash Raffle: Coming in August 2017! Purchase a $5.00 ticket for a chance to win $10,000! Proceeds support the Académie Lafayette Annual Fund. Tickets are available for purchase online or from an AL student.

Musketeer March
Sponsor a student in the school job-a-thon, Musketeer March, held on the second Thursday and Friday in May. Proceeds support the Academie Lafayette Annual Fund. Get your tickets here or from an AL student.

PTSO Fundraising
The school’s Parent Teacher Student Organization conducts its own fundraising, primarily from funds raised at events including the Holiday Art Mart, Trivia Night and the school’s gala event, An Evening in Paris, generally held in the spring. Funds raised by the PTSO support after-school programs and student travel experiences. Visit the PTSO website to learn more.
