Erin Pouppirt has lived her entire life in the KCMO area except for her senior year of high school when she attended Lycee Madame de Stael in St Julien-en-Genevois, France. Erin continues to visit her host family on a regular basis. She received her two undergraduate degrees, BSE and BA in French from KU as well as her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from KU. She taught two years of high school French and then came to the KCMO School District in 1988 to teach in the Foreign Language Magnet program. She was an Elementary Counselor with the KCMO School District for ten years after having taught ten years in the Foreign Language Middle Magnet program. Her hobbies include helping to take care of her twin great-nephews and serving as the International Ambassador for her Native American Indian Tribe, the Kanza Nation. She likes to relax with her husband watching NCIS while scrapbooking. Erin is delighted to be a member of the Académie Lafayette staff.
