Kate Suarez grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and received her B.A. in French and European Studies from Colorado State University. While attending college, she was fortunate to study abroad in Grenoble, France. Before moving to Kansas City in 2008, Kate worked for several years as a lifeguard and swim instructor, and then as a paraprofessional for a Special Education program in Champaign, Illinois. Currently, she is working on her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from UMKC. Kate enjoys living in downtown Kansas City with her husband, Rob, and cat, Oreo. In her free time, she likes to explore the city, go to the movies, and play games with her friends and family.
