Catherine Defosse is originally from Belgium.She grew up in Mons, where she studied and received her teachering degree. In 1995, Mme. DeFosse came to Kansas City to work in the Kansas City Missouri School District. She is one of Academie Lafayette's original teachers and has been with the school since its beginning in 1999. She is the proud mother of Leo, an Academie Lafayette student. Mme. Defosse has a passion for reading, traveling and listening to music.
