Host Families Needed for 2009-2010 School Year Interns are volunteer teaching assistants from France who work with homeroom teachers in the classrooms of kindergarten and first grade. Interns are young men and woman between the age of 20 and 25 who are currently enrolled in higher education in France. They come here to learn and practice English, learn about US culture and gain a deeper understanding of their own. Many are involved in the field of languages, English as a Foreign Language, education, or other related fields. They also have some teaching experience or have worked with youth. Interns will interact with your family, friends and neighbors, creating international friendships and a cultural understanding on a local level. They will definitively help your child in his/her mastery of the French Language and understanding of different cultures. Your family will create memories that will last a lifetime! This experience will allow your family to develop a meaningful relationship with someone from another culture and benefit Académie Lafayette by providing these special people a place to call home. Thank you for your support and involvement. For more information: http://www.amity.org/hffaq.html Click here to MEET THE INTERNS
