Marie was born and raised by Italian immigrants in Montreal, Canada. She is the eldest of five children, and used to drag them all to the basement to play “school."  She was always the teacher. Marie has been playing “school” for the past 28 years, but who’s counting? Teaching for Marie is not a job; it is her hobby and her hobby has taken her around the world: Louisiana, Ecuador, Pakistan, and Macedonia. She has taught French, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, and ESL. She loves being surrounded by laughter and wonder. What other profession can give you that every day?
